Vinous Stephen Tanzer - 01 Nov 00
Deep saturated red, impressive for the year. Vibrant but exotic nose dominated by dark berries and spicy oak. Dense, rich and very concentrated, with sweet flavors of minerals, red fruits, mint and oak. Quite primary and firm for the year, and in need of bottle aging.

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
